Pay attention to the sales in New York, you can save a lot of money! Do not trust the stores that do not show the prices in the shop windows. Never trust posters that put "liquidation", "last days" or "going out of business" (liquidation, last days or about to close).
The electronics stores located around Times Square are usually like that. Make sure you receive the original box, the warranty certificate and the instruction manual.
One of the stores that most tourists like to visit in New York is Century 21, next to Ground Zero. In 2011 the brand opened a new store on Broadway, between 66th and 67th streets. As tourists do not know it is much quieter than Downtown.
